still life value

Hour long still life. I'm thinking about

doing one daily. I'm not very comfortable

with color picking in photoshop so I'm

 going to have to learn a quicker way.

if I have to open up the color picker 

every time I may just use Sai for color.

I really want to understand how light moves

through translucent objects and make it almost

glow. If I can figure that out then I will feel like 

I've accomplished something for the year.

It just seems like such a mountain. 

found a band named Blitzen Trapper.

Totally worth a listen. 

Now, on to maya.

I scanned in my sketchbook drawings

and started slapping paint on canvas

(digital of course.)

Felt like I needed to really brush up on my

value skills lately hence them all being

black and white. I do have one that

I'm working on being a full piece for later.

I should be posting some in progress pieces.

Figure Drawing

First time figure drawing in a while.

Thinking I might paint one or two.

Tried doing some realistic ones,

and they just look boring next to

Got out of class and wanted to do a

painting. After a few drawings in a coffee

shop I settled on this one. Might even 

do a few more tomorrow.

The Last of the Movie Studies

Some of them are rushed for the deadline. 

With my other classes I didn't realize how

little time I had left to work on these and

I barely finished them before H-Hour.

Movie Studies

Did a few movie studies of Roman

Polanski's Olive Twist, The Royal

Tenenbaums, and Silence of the Lambs.

I should be doing a couple more tonight.
